Jennifer DeFranco is the proud mother of two outstanding children, a wife to an exceptionally wonderful husband and owner of two rambunctious goldendoodles named Sully and Mike.  In addition to those extremely significant and  important roles she is also a committed advocate from Illinois serving organizations that fit her passion for life.   She is currently employed at RESULTS, a non-profit working to end extreme poverty.  Additionally she serves in multiple roles in various organizations in her community and state.

She has been an active volunteer in the Parent Teacher Association, at all levels from local to National PTA.  Her PTA involvement led her to be chosen as the 2010 Illinois delegate to the Parenting Magazine Mom Congress at Georgetown University in 2010, where she also served as a mentor/presenter for the 2011 delegation, presenting on bullying prevention.  Her local involvement has included serving as President of her PTA unit; district PTA Vice President; and she served as the Illinois PTA Membership/Marketing Director for three years.  Additionally, she was trained in 2011 as a National PTA Grassroots Advocacy Trainer and most recently served as a Social Media Ambassador for National PTA. 

She is a 2012 Shot@Life Champion and 2013-14 Champion Mentor with the United Nations Foundation, advocating for global vaccines for children around the world.  She also serves as an officer for the District 15 Educational Foundation, and the Palatine Celtic Soccer Club, in addition to being a volunteer at her local church, coach and former Girl Scout leader.

 Jennifer is a product of  southern Illinois public schools.  Upon graduation she attended Illinois State University where she received her degree in English with minors in Writing and Speech Communication.  She moved into the corporate world upon graduation from ISU and retired from the corporate world when she and her husband were blessed with their oldest child.
